Fall 2004

Dear Prospective Member:

I am glad you have expressed an interest in Congregation Kol Chadash; a new voice in Solon. I am very excited about the opportunity to build a Reform Jewish community in the fastest growing Jewish community in metropolitan Cleveland. However, I am more excited about being a part of what promises to be a warm, caring and supportive congregational community. I believe a synagogue should be like a family; it is where we come together to celebrate life's joys, mark the passing of each year and make its sorrows less bitter due to the support of others in the congregational family.

I look forward to creating at Congregation Kol Chadash a community in which newcomers immediately feel welcome, and a place where families can bring their children to learn and participate. Interfaith families are warmly welcomed as members. All members are afforded the opportunity to have an immediate and active role in congregational life. I look forward to getting to know each of you and celebrating with you Jewish holidays and life cycle events. Together we will build a "new voice in Solon", a congregation with a family-like environment.

L'shalom,

Rabbi Estelle Gottman-Mills
